A man has been questioned on suspicion of causing criminal damage to the David Lloyd George statue in Caernarfon.
Red graffiti was found on the statue on the Maes on Tuesday, calling for 'Free Palestine' and describing the former Prime Minister as a 'coloniser'.
North Wales Police said a 38 year-old man from the Penmaenmawr area was arrested on Thursday.
He has been released on strict bail conditions while enquiries continue.
