Two fishermen were rescued after their boat broke down off the Llŷn Peninsula due to a burst oil pipe.
The RNLI's all-weather lifeboat at Porthdinllaen was called out on Monday morning after the boat suffered mechanical failure approximately 8 miles north-west of the lifeboat station and with no means of getting back to port.
The boat was eventually towed back to Porthdinllaen Bay because of the risk of drifting towards local shipping lanes. It was placed on a mooring where repairs could be carried out.
Owain Williams, coxswain at RNLI Porthdinllaen, said: "With the vessel suffering a burst oil pipe, the fishermen were unable to carry out repairs onboard and made the right decision in calling for assistance. As always, we were glad to be of service to be help them out."
