A 25 year-old man from Gwynedd has died after he fell from a hotel balcony in Malta.
Local police were called to Triq Spionla in the town of St Julian’s in the early hours of Friday morning.
Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene.
A Malta spokesperson said a local magistrate has been informed and ‘various experts’ have been appointed to assist in the inquiry while investigations continue.
The Plaid Cymru MS for Arfon described the news as “truly devastating”.
Sian Gwenllian said: “The pain his family must be experiencing is unimaginable.”
