A small fishing boat with two people on board was rescued after suffering engine failure off Llanfaes.
The 14-foot vessel began drifting in the Menai Strait when the RNLI at Beaumaris was called out at shortly before 6.50pm on Sunday evening.
The inshore lifeboat quickly reached the fishing boat where both adults were well and wearing lifejackets on board.
In the absence of an anchor and with the state of the tide, the boat was towed to the nearest safe haven at the old Lairds slipway to avoid it from becoming a navigational hazard.
The mobile coastguard team from Penmon was also tasked to help with recovering the boat once it was ashore.
A RNLI Beaumaris spokesperson said: "The RIB boat crew did the correct thing in alerting the Coastguard to their predicament."
"This meant our volunteer lifeboat crew were able to reach the casualty quickly, assess the situation and take the best course of action to prevent the situation worsening."
