Three people were rescued after a yacht en-route for Ireland suffered engine failure.
The 33-foot vessel broke down around two nautical miles off Conwy on Saturday morning, when the RNLI at Moelfre sent out its all-weather lifeboat, the Kiwi, at just after 7am.
The single-fin keeled yacht had been drifitng for some time when the lifeboat arrived to find it anchored in shallow water with concerns it could run aground as the tide fell.
The yacht was towed towards Conwy by the all-weather lifeboat, before it was taken over by the local D-class lifeboat because of concerns about the state of the tide and the depth of water.
The vessel was safely moored at Beacons Jetty awaiting repairs before being passed onto Llandudno Coastguard.
An RNLI Moelfre spokesperson said: "This shout was a great example of multi-service teamwork between RNLI assets and HM Coastguard."
