An eco-friendly theme park in Y Felinheli is celebrating the tenth anniversary of a pioneering solar-powered water ride.
Launched in 2016, the Solar Splash at GreenWood Family Park made national headlines as the first ride of its kind in the UK.
It uses renewable power from a 576-panel array to lift boats uphill before sending riders cascading down a choice of water chutes.
As well as cutting down extensively on conventional electricity, the water is also sourced onsite, thanks to the park's own 250ft borehole drilled deep beneath Eryri.
GreenWood says the attraction "remains a shining example of how sustainability and family thrills can go hand in hand".
Chris Jones, GreenWood general manager, said: "When Solar Splash launched 10 years ago, it was about showing that sustainable day out can still be an exciting day out."
"Being the first in the UK to introduce a solar-powered water ride was a bold statement about who we are and what we stood for."
"A decade later, that hasn't changed. It's still thrilling families every day while demonstrating that attractions can reduce their environmental impact and still give guests a brilliant experience."
"We're incredibly proud of the role Solar Splash has played in shaping GreenWood's identity and we're excited about what the next decade years will bring."

The theme park, which first opened in 1991, includes 15 themed rides and attractions and was named one of the top ten parks in the UK by Time Out magazine two years ago.
GreenWood also makes use ot other envrionmental measures on its 34-acre site, such as recycling all of its food waste and harvesting 130m2 of rainwater each year.
