A man has appeared in court following a spate of burglaries across Anglesey.

Houses in the Amlwch, Benllech, Llanelian and Pentraeth areas were targeted in just one day last month.

Police say Christopher Lynch (25) of Betws-yn-Rhos was charged with twelve counts of burglary and theft.

He is accused of stealing valuable items and cash from residential homes in North Wales, Cheshire and the West Mercia area.

Lynch was remanded in custody when he appeared before Mold magistrates on Saturday evening.

He is due to appear before a judge at Caernarfon Crown Court on Monday 1st June.
