A 19 year-old man has been charged with wounding with intent following a disturbance in Bethesda.

One man was taken to hospital after he was hit by car during an alleged altercation on the High Street on Monday afternoon.

Thomas Baker, of Glan Ogwen, Bethesda, is also accused of assault, driving dangerously and driving without insurance and whilst disqualified.

He is due to appear before Llandudno magistrates on Wednesday.

A 33 year-old man and a 35 year-old woman arrested in connection with the incident have been released on bail while police inquiries continue.

Earlier, detectives urged people not to share social media footage of the disturbance, which led to patrols being stepped up in the Bethesda area.

North Wales Police are still apealing for anyone with information to call 101 or use their live webchat, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting reference no. C128574.
