Work has begun on replacing gas mains in the Bridge Street area of Llangefni.
Anglesey Council says the work is expected to continue until April and will bring some disruption to the town centre, although businesses will remain open as usual.
Wales and the West Utilities, who are carrying out the work, has agreed to provide free parking in the Town Hall car park as a goodwill gesture to support residents and traders affected.
