A man who assaulted a police officer in Bangor has been jailed.
Roland Doano was arrested following an altercation at the bus station on Thursday.
Llandudno magistrates heard he became aggressive when he was taken to custody and kicked an officer in the chest.
Doano (47), of no fixed abode, was sentenced to sixteen weeks in prison.
District Inspector Jamie Owens from North Wales Police said: "Violence against emergency workers is completely unacceptable, and we will never tolerate it here in Gwynedd."
“Our officers come to work each day to keep the public safe, and they deserve to carry out their duties without fear of assault."
“We will continue to take robust action against anyone who threatens the safety of our officers or the wider community."
